Experience the beautiful sights of Melbourne; enjoy the shopping, sports complexes and universities. Visit Fitzroy Gardens and see Captain Cook’s Cottage. Captain Cook discovered the east coast of Australia. His parents’ cottage was sent here and reassembled in these gardens. (AAT Kings passengers receive half price entry to Captain Cook’s Cottage!). See Parliament House, Windsor Hotel, Queen Victoria Market, the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Rod Laver Arena, Flinders Street Station, Young & Jackson’s Hotel and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Stop for morning tea in the Botanic Gardens Café (own expense) and see the famous Shrine of Remembrance. Travel past the Grand Prix race track, the Westgate Bridge and over the Bolte Bridge for great views of Melbourne. View Port Phillip Bay, the Yarra River and Victorian Arts Centre and see the Melbourne Aquarium. See the Riverboats on the Yarra, a cruise is highly recommended (K1C). Tour concludes at Federation Square.

See the best the city has to offer on a morning sightseeing tour, followed by lunch. Travel south of Melbourne, as we head to Westernport Bay en route to Warrook Cattle Farm. Hand-feed kangaroos. See sheep, cattle, Australian birds and wombats. Enjoy included Devonshire Tea of hot scones with tea or coffee. Visit koalas in their natural habitat at the Koala Conservation Centre as you stroll the boardwalk through our famous gumtrees. Travel through the town of San Remo and cross the only bridge to Phillip Island (home of our world Motorcycle Grand Prix track). See the Nobbies rock formations overlooking one of the most treacherous expanses of water in the world, Bass Strait. Watch the famous little penguins perform their nightly ritual at Summerland Beach (Platform Option recommended), as they march up the sand to their nesting places. Visit the beautiful coastal town of Cowes for dinner (own expense), for a great selection of restaurants & cafes or Fish & Chips on the beach. Enjoy DVD entertainment on your return drive to Melbourne.
