Traveling by air is the quickest, so you will have to arrange a flight from any of the capital cities or from overseas to fly you to Melbourne, and from here you will catch a connecting coach service with one of the many coach companies that offer runs to the mountain. Or if you would rather take in the natural wonder and beauty that the Victorian mountains have to offer hire a car and drive to your destination. Just travel down the Hume Highway and then onto Mansfield, and from here you are just 45 minutes away from starting your holiday in the snow. The roads are very well-maintained but you will have to carry snow chains with you at all times and fit them when directed. You can hire chains at the bottom of the mountain.
