What to expect

Day one takes you along the coastal route where you'll stop at dramatic viewpoints and learn about vessels wrecked on these shores. The landscape shifts constantly—limestone stacks, hidden coves, windswept beaches. By afternoon, you'll head north into the Grampians, where the pace changes noticeably. Days two and three are spent in these quieter mountains: guided walks reveal rock paintings and Aboriginal sites, whilst the terrain climbs through eucalypt forests to ridgeline vantage points. Your guide carries original shipwreck artefacts and shares local history throughout. Expect moderate walking and plenty of driving; the minivan is air-conditioned but windows open to fresh air.
